Paddle to Seattle: Journey through the Inside Passage
86 minutes
Director: Josh Thomas, J.J. Kelley
Harkins 1 Fri 9:00 AM , Harkins 5 Sun 11:40 AM

Paddle to Seattle is a feature documentary chronicling the progress of two intrepid adventurers paddling handmade wooden kayaks from Alaska to Seattle. The Inside Passage encompasses an enormous chain of islands that constitute North America's only rainforest--stretching 1,300-miles from Alaska to Northern Washington. Encounters with grizzly bears are not uncommon and rain can fall for two weeks without pause. Rich biodiversity makes room for surreal encounters with unexpected marine life. The film presents interviews with peoples of the region and a sense of humor provides genuine insights into the experience of two adventurers. ENVIRONMENTAL
