Robert Osborne hosts this 1938 Oscar®-winning classic. Robin of Locksley (Errol Flynn) runs afoul of King Richard's corrupt brother, Prince John and his ally, the Sheriff of Nottingham. He is forced to become an outlaw after accusing the Prince of treason and takes refuge with his followers in Sherwood Forest. The Merry Men, as they come to be known, steal from the rich and give to the poor. Errol Flynn makes a dashing Robin Hood as he leads his men into one adventure after another, all the while finding time to woo the lovely Maid Marion, played by Olivia de Havilland. Other legends in the cast are Basil Rathbone as Sir Guy of Gisbourne and Claude Rains as Prince John. The entertainment factor is still huge in this rollicking film.
