When The World Breaks
85 minutes
Director: Hans Fjellestad

This is a story about creativity and survival in desperate times, specifically the Great Depression of the 1930s--with striking parallels to our current Great Recession. Extreme times are also periods of heightened creativity and innovation, when necessity truly does become the mother of invention. When the World Breaks takes its audience beyond the bread lines and dust bowls, into a vibrant story of one of the most formative decades in American history.

The Snallygaster Tale
18 minutes
Director: John Baldino

During the Great Depression, a young boy named Toby lives on a poor chicken farm with his father, Hank. While Toby helps his father collect eggs one morning, he takes a liking to one of the hens, and, breaking the cardinal rule of farm life, he gives it a name: Ollie. As his affection for Ollie grows deeper, it becomes only a matter of time until the veil of innocence is lifted.
